Teachers’ Day in India is celebrated on 5 September, the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was a distinguished philosopher, scholar, educator, statesman and the second President of India.
His contribution to education and philosophy made his birthday a symbolic occasion for honouring teachers and recognizing their role in the development of students and society.
